My Daily Belief Is:
My steadfast loyalty to my principles portrays my passion for self-worth & growth without seeking any kind of validation from others. It serves as a reminder that self-love is essential and everyone is worthy of it. It informs everyone that you should respect yourself, voice your opinions, and be confident in the person you are to become. I understand that it’s hard not to want some approval in today’s society, but that’s where growth comes in. Truly growing means that you sincerely understand that the approval of outside voices is not needed—only the approval of God & yourself.
The Movie/Book That Most Influenced My Life:
“Genna’s Fight” by Sheldon D. Newton. This is a story that highlights resilience, forgiveness, and the importance of self-worth. This book shaped me to be a person who bounces back after every fall, and it also taught me the severity of self-worth and forgiveness, whether it’s myself that I have to forgive or someone else.
Who Would I Like to Meet & Why:
Harriet Tubman has to be at the top of my list. Her bravery, selflessness, and deep spiritual faith are what inspired me to stand in the face of my obstacles and laugh. She became a railroad conductor, a spy, an inspiration to every black person who thought they didn’t have a chance, and so much more. So if I had the chance to meet her, I’d ask her if she ever thought about giving up, because surely that must’ve been a lot to handle as a black woman in those times.
I Am Motivated By:
My source of motivation is my fear of failure. I’ve fallen before and gotten back up again like I always do, but sometimes I wonder if the next fall will be the last fall. I know that there will be trials and tribulations, but the fear of staying down is what keeps me going. I refuse to let myself be triumphed by any setback, big or small. So, I push myself, and I surround myself with people that pushes me to stand tall.
I constantly remind myself that I have to leave my mark behind, and I won’t give that up by falling victim to failure.
What I Would Like The Judges To Know About Me Is:
I’m a warrior, an open-minded mentee & mentor, and I’m a poet. I keep myself occupied with extracurricular activities where I allow myself to grow and perform as a leader. I enjoy peace because I believe it’s essential at this age; it reduces stress and allows the mind to work better. I also believe in the power of knowing self-worth and teaching self-worth. Additionally, I’m an authentic girl’s girl, hence the reason behind my platform B.A.G.G. (Be A Girls Girl), and I’m very passionate about spreading awareness about my platform. Apart from my passion for pageantry, I also enjoy wrapping myself up in every form of art. I remain confident that art is one of the best ways to truly express yourself, whether it’s poetry, painting, dancing, or singing. I lead with my heart, and I remain anchored in my core values. (respect, integrity, accountability, empathy, etc.)
