Miss Bahamas Teen Contestant 2024

Kyleigh Carey

MY DAILY BELIEF IS:

I like to start my day off with a few beliefs. Firstly, I speak positive affirmations over myself every day because I believe that if you consistently speak positivity over your life, it will become a reality. Next, I believe in striving daily to inspire others through my purpose and confidence. Most importantly, I believe that daily prayer is a necessity in having a great Christ-filled day.

THE BOOK OR MOVIE THAT MOST INFLUENCES MY LIFE:

Though this may be a common answer for most, the book that provides the biggest source of influence, motivation, and enlightenment for me would be the Bible. I love that it gives daily motivation and lessons for any situation I may face in life. It is a book filled with wisdom for all and a roadmap throughout life’s troubles. Bible study everyday has not only influenced me most, but it also changed my perception of life and the way I chose to live; it really challenges me to live more like Jesus every day.

WHO WOULD I LIKE TO MEET AND WHY:

As a child I always had a dream of becoming a gymnast and going to the Olympics for gymnastics. I remember each time the Olympics games came around I would sit and intently watch the gymnastics segment, and every time I did, I was inspired and motivated by one particular girl: Simone Biles. She was and still is a great role model to me. Seeing her dedication, talent and confidence in each routine inspired me. I wanted to be just like her, have my own gym, have skills named after me and have a bright gymnastics career. Though my dream did not fully come to fruition, Simone’s confidence, dedication, will and love for her sport will always encourage, inspire, and motivate me. Which is why if I had an opportunity to meet anyone it would be her. I’d love for Simone to share her story, some advice, and techniques she used to stay so dedicated to her passion even when it became difficult.

I AM MOTIVATED BY:

I am motivated by the progression of my goals; being able to take a step back and see how far I’ve come, and how much closer I am to completing my goal it really gives me a boost of motivation to push till the end and give it my best. I love seeing others succeed, this also excites and motivates me.

WHAT WOULD I LIKE THE JUDGES TO KNOW ABOUT ME IS:

I’d like the judges to know that I am ready and capable of fulfilling the duties of being the next Miss Bahamas Teen. I am resilient and will courageously accept any challenges I am given with eagerness and dedication. I am ready to share my platform and will work and push as hard as I can to leave a positive impact on our community.

MY COMMUNITY SERVICE/ACHIEVEMENTS ARE:

A few of my most gratifying achievements are finding myself, starting my own fashion business at fifteen, strengthening my relationship with God and maintaining a constant honor roll status in school which has resulted in various scholarships. Along with this, my favorite and most fulfilling community service experience would be working with the Bahamas Feeding Network Organization and assisting with the packaging and distribution of food all throughout our island, going into communities and meeting new people providing them with food and the gospel of Jesus.
